At the age of 15, Adrian dropped 50 lbs. in pursuit of his basketball career. Following the weight loss, the young athlete posted photos to social media and was discovered by an Agency. They approached Mauro about representation, but Mauro declined the offer. This did, however, spark the idea of an onscreen career - which Adrian had never before considered. Shortly afterwards, the young talent was setting up meetings with a handful of select theatrical agencies to seek film/TV representation. Adrian decided on A Plus Actors, and soon enough the agency had him audition for national commercials and print. He was signed with them for only a week when he landed a print gig with Academy.Adrian continued to book commercials and print with them. Seeing his success with this, his mother "Tricia Mauro" took it upon herself to temporarily mange him - As he continued to audition, Adrian was introduced to professional stuntman Mark Chavarria. The two formed a quick friendship, and soon Mark asked to take Adrian under his wing and train him in stunts.During his training with Chavarria, Adrian soon realized there was more to film and television than just acting. He soon fell in love with the off-camera lifestyle, accepting jobs and internships as a P.A., art director's assistant, and grip. Learning the hard work ethic of each team the behind-the-scenes magic caused Mauro to see a career in film + television in an all new light. Hide
