On December 7, 1970, a boy was born in Atlanta, Georgia. His parents took one look at him and said, "Just to annoy him, let's give him two middle names, and call him by the second middle name, which will be a name that is commonly short for another name, but in this case, will not be short for anything." And that's just what they did. James Robert Cam Cannon grew to love having two middle names. Indeed, he goes by Cam, and therefore fields the question, "Is it short for Cameron?" on a nearly daily basis.In 1981, the Georgia Bulldogs defeated the Notre Dame Fighting Irish in the Sugar Bowl to become the National Champions in football. Cam, wise beyond his ten years, said, "Go Dawgs!"Later that same year, Cam argued with his dad, the famous coffee man Mickey Cannon, over whether they would see "The Great Muppet Caper," or "Raiders of the Lost Ark." Cam, frustrated that the latter film took place in 1939 (or whatever), and didn't have Harrison Ford as Han Solo, wanted to see TGMC. Mickey would have his way that night. The whole family went to see "Raiders of the Lost Ark" that night, at the old Plitt Promenade on Highway 41 in Atlanta. Afterwards, over dinner (Taco Bell), Cam made an announcement. "As you know," he told mom, dad, his two sisters, and his brother, "For some time now, I have had a deep yearning to be a smuggler named Han Solo when I grow up. You have all tried to talk me out of it, but it's my dream. Tonight, I have a new dream. I want to write movies." The Cannons continued with their Bellbeefers and burritos, having learned that Cam was a moron.Cam continued to be fascinated with movies and continued to be a moron. He reasoned that having two middle names would be an advantage, because in the opening credits, his name would stretch all the way across the screen.After fake-graduating from the University of Georgia in 1995, Cam married the most awesome woman in the world, Carrie Cannon. They bought a home in suburban Atlanta and pursued creative endeavors as side jobs. Upon the completion of a low budget independent film entitled "Criminal," they sold their home and moved to Los Angeles.Since moving to L.A., Cam has become a bigger moron in a bigger pond. He reads scripts for production companies, and marvels when they tell him his analysis is correct. He works at Blockbuster and writes scripts on the side.
