Screenwriter Christina Welsh is best known for writing "If Only," the romantic drama starring Jennifer Love Hewitt and Tom Wilkinson."If Only" was a ratings success for ABC Family. It became an international hit when it was released theatrically around the world, and continues to play regularly to global television audiences. It was the opening night selection at the Sarasota Film Festival - where Christina was presented with the Mark P. Famiglio Award for Excellence in Filmmaking.Her next film - "Addicted" - is a sexy and provocative thriller, based on the best-selling book by Zane and starring Sharon Leal, Boris Kodjoe and international star William Levy. "Addicted" opens in theaters on October 10, 2014.Before making the transition to full-time screenwriter, Christina was an entertainment reporter on Power 106-FM, then the #1 radio station in Los Angeles. She filed live reports from such high profile events as the Oscars, the Emmys and the Golden Globe Awards and interviewed major stars, such as Tom Hanks, Whoopi Goldberg, Kevin Costner and Clint Eastwood.A member of SAG/AFTRA, she also has a varied acting resume with voiceover, theater and film credits, including the motion picture "Midnight Witness."
