Lina Hayek's family is of strong Christian faith, and Lebanese and Palestinian heritage. They migrated from Kuwait to America over 20 years ago, and like all loving parents Lina's father and mother relocated their family to California in pursuit of a different future for their children, despite leaving behind greater financial stability and cultural familiarity. Music is more than a passion for Lina, it's who she is. As the youngest of 4 children and sweet baby sister of 3 brothers, who are also musically gifted, Lina picked up the accordion at age 7. She wasn't satisfied with playing a single instrument, and started fiddling with a violin at age 9; only to find at age 15, her soul and heart felt the deepest of connections with the guitar.As a professional musician, performer and educator, Lina continues to follow her love of music, drama and community outreach, through musical and theatrical performances, as well as, drama and motivational workshops.
