Director, writer and producer Richard Gorodecky was born in London in 1971. He learnt his craft as a storyteller working in advertising, and his commercial work has earned over sixty industry awards. It has been featured in numerous publications and is part of the permanent collection of The Museum Of Art And Craft in Hamburg. In 2015 Richard stepped behind the camera to direct his first short film - The River Man, a documentary about Connie Corcoran, one of Ireland's great salmon fishing guides. The film tells the fated love story between a man and a river. The film was bought by RTE and Eir Lingus and earned Critics Choice in The Sunday Times newspaper. It was the finalist for the Grand Prix and Best Documentary at Cork Film Festival, a finalist for Best Short Documentary at Big Sky Documentary Film Festival, and won Best Short Documentary at Lift-Off Film Festival Amsterdam and Lift-Off Film Festival Sydney. In 2016 Richard wrote and directed the drama - Little Shit. The film tells the story of a lost child's journey to discover his and London's hidden nature.
