Tyrone grew up playing football and track & field in North Carolina. After moving to New York City he began acting on television, Broadway, and in films. Tyrone acts to show the fullness of African-American male humanity and he considers it a privilege to get to do that work on camera and on stage. He's also a musician, writer (worked with writing teams at The Daily Show and The Colbert Report in Chris Rock's Comedy Central Network Television Writing Program), and frequent volunteer with Broadway Serves and Broadway Cares/Equity Fights AIDS.
