Catch-22
The film follows Capt. John Yossarian (Alan Arkin), a pilot stationed in the Mediterranean who flies bombing missions during World War II. John tries desperately to be certified insane to escape his dire and increasingly absurd situation.

Released during the Vietnam War, the movie was a commercial failure, but seen from today's perspective, its black humor holds up well.
