Connie and Carla
Best pals Connie and Carla have a song-and-dance act at a Chicago airport, but they go on the run after witnessing a murder. After getting to L.A., they score a perfect gig: posing as drag queens on the dinner theater/cabaret circuit.

Vardalos is a much better actress than she is a writer, and the patchy script has a desperate, thrown-together feeling to it, as if she had to scramble to come up with something after Wedding's gargantuan success.
