Description
When Antoine arrives at Kammy's house, his former lover, everything seems different. After an absence of more than five years, Antoine returns to knock on his lover's door but finds that she is about to leave for an important work trip. Strangely enough, Antoine asks Antoine to take care of her child because of the late babysitter's delay. Otherwise, she will be late for the flight. Antoine will take care of her baby immediately, but he did not imagine that the babysitter did not show up completely.

It says something about the film that it's impossible to watch without imagining the even moister American remake.

Belgian director Amélie van Elmbt's lovely trifle The Elephant and the Butterfly is as sweet and gentle -- and at times simplistic -- as its storybook title may imply.
