The Exorcist 3: Legion
The movie centers on a character from the first film, the philosophical Lieutenant William F. Kinderman, who uncovers more than he bargained for as his investigation of a series of murders which have all the hallmarks of 'The Gemini,' a deceased serial killer.

Seriously scary in a few spots, but dry and overly verbose for the most part.

Unnecessary sequel to sequel with top cast.

Better than part two, and almost scary in one part.

If only Blatty would be given the director's chair more often, we would have a lot more truly terrifying movies to choose from.

Amazing! A sequel that stands on its own and still creeps me out at times.

A good chunk of The Exorcist III is taken up by a series of sit-down chats; close-ups of Scott's ugly mug are the only half-frightening thing on the screen.

Written and directed by William Peter Blatty, author of the original Exorcist. So, while it's not quite as chilling as the first story, It is at least a quality sequel

I'll call it a noble failure.
June 03, 2005
Better than the other Exocist sequels.

Suggests that Blatty had seen and loved many films without ever really paying attention to how they worked.

For my money, it's everything The Exorcist should have been, but never quite was.
