The fifth season is complemented by new action events, as Kaskara decided to accept Pulitzer for her writing. Now, Kara makes a decision about sharing her secret identity with Lena during that time. There seems to be a new path and a former Phantom enemy trying to fight John, although there are great attempts to repel it.

Supergirl isn't the best superhero show on TV - it's not even the best superhero show on The CW - but it's a dependable, solid piece of escapism, with a likeable cast and a sympathetic world view.
