The Cape - Season 1
In this series, Vince Faraday faces serious challenges in his life as an honest policeman works among a group of corrupt investigators and officers. As part of a series of murders, Faraday must deal with these criminal cases while trying to protect his wife and son from danger. Faraday decides to become a new hero by embodying his son's favorite comic book hero, The Cape, after being trained by a dangerous gang leader in the region.

The Cape is never as gripping as it probably should be. The name of the hero is dumb, and the concept feels stale, combining drab crime drama elements with comic book genre fare.

The Cape delivers...a thoroughly entertaining viewing experience, with solid action scenes, a terrific score and an intriguing plot paced so quickly, you'll feel as if you're watching a visual representation of a graphic novel.

The outline of the story could be interesting if it were simply slowed down a bit and balance the cheesy and the charming more in a way that 'Chuck' proved possible.

Marked by logical elisions, word-balloon dialogue and conveniently located plot holes though it may be, this is a machine for putting its heroes in tight spaces and watching them kick their way free, and it does its work efficiently and with flair.
