The animation series follows the story of an orphan Jack who tries to adapt to his horrific reality. Jack, 13, lives in his monster-filled town and tries to live with everything. Jack will have to try to think fast about everything around him and find new friends in this place to complete his life.

It's all fine. It's not, like, great, but it's fine. And in the end, June disabuses Jack of all notions of damsel-saving, and the four kids save the world together, with remarkably negligible blood and gore. It's fine.

The Last Kids On Earth is one of the best kids' shows we've seen all year, mainly because it has plot and character development worthy of shows for grown-ups.
