The Young Indiana Jones Chronicles - Season 1
The events of that series are about that legend called Indiana Jones, which offers a model of stories he tells about himself since childhood. The older man, who was in the 1990s, began to tell stories when he was 10 years old when he was a child and how ambitious he was. The man enters through his stories into a world tour with his father, and in the late teens when he fought in the First World War, which was an important historical point in his life.

The acting in Chronicles is solid, with Flanery particularly good... The first thing all this heavy-duty talent should concentrate on is turning young Jones into something more than a time-tripping name-dropper.

What it all adds up to tonight, unfortunately, is something akin to a very slow camel or burro ride across long stretches of arid desert. There's dialogue galore, but comparatively little action and virtually no suspense.

Young Indiana Jones is a marvelous show. The stories are engrossing, the characters well-drawn and played, and the production values are extraordinarily lush for a weekly program.

The narrative of this series is one of multiple riches. It's a boy's coming-of-age story, a hero quest, a travelogue, a class in multiculturalism, and a simple, solid action-adventure serial all rolled into one sprawling, seat-of-the-pants yarn.
