Born Angela Lorraine Bullock in Harlem New York to Paul Bullock, a city bus driver and passionate reader and Lenora Pittman Bullock, a hospital worker with a stunningly beautiful singing voice. Raised in Brooklyn with two younger sisters. Attended Public School 59, George Gershwin JHS and the LaGuardia High School of Music & Art.
