I never understood what the thing with Savile was. We interviewed him once. He was so boring. He talked about nothing but himself. He was so self-aggrandising and self-important. He was a rubbish presenter. I loathed Jimmy Savile, I just thought his whole personality was weird and unpleasant. I didn't like him at all, but I never heard the rumours that he was a paedophile. After seven consecutive years we both feel we have achieved everything we wanted with the show. We want the chance to launch other projects in broadcasting and writing while we are still young enough. Hide

Sting's voice is just extraordinary, he's sort of the Rod Stewart of his age I suppose, only better. Sorry Rod. And I think his lovely, poetic singing is never better heard than in Fields of Gold.
