Description
We return again through a wide range of strong events during the second season, as Peter and Jordan leave the safety of the monastery to retrieve some samples and discover what lives in the forest. At the same time, Sister Amy plans to make them leave forever. On the other hand, Michael is struggling to keep the monastery under control as the CDC team approaches the source of the nurse. At the same time, Alan fights the desire to join his former colleagues, reconciling with the truth of Peter's loyalties. In the future, Walker risks trying to escape her imaginary father.

The new location and vastly different stakes have really given the show a breath of fresh air, and have created an environment where Helix could, in theory, go on for many more seasons.

Helix does a fine job of creating a creepy vibe in its second-season opener, and though a lot of information from the first season has to be re-established, the drama hits the ground running and quickly builds up an effectively mysterious atmosphere.
