The new HBO show Insecure is anything but. It is smart, funny, alive and complex and seems to know precisely what it wants to be.

The characters get more and more likable, and the balance between comedy and drama is perfectly tuned in that we laugh but also get to know these people.

It doesn't take long to be drawn into the lives of Issa and Molly and their world. The writing is witty, original and authentic, the characters are engaging and you really want to see them find happiness. It all makes for a great comedy.
