Merlin - Season 2
During the third season, we realize many new and powerful events that begin with Arthur who pretends to leave the court and enters the lists disguised to win on the basis of true merit. Murgana, on the other hand, seems to have magical powers when her room burns from her bed. There is a discovery of the treasure chamber found under Camelot, with the middle piece, a glowing blue stone in the lid of Cornelius Sigan's coffin.

This was still run-of-the-mill Merlin, and proof that, so far at least, the writers aren't planning to deviate into exciting and fresh parts of Camelot anytime soon.
