Description
The Originals is a spin-off of The Vampire Diaries. Many years ago, an original family of vampires lived in the city of New Orleans where they lived happily. However, all has changed and it's up to them to take back what they built. In season 2, a new status quo must be adjusted to, as the newly empowered werewolves control the city. Klaus plotting his revenge against the Guerrera werewolves and vowing to take down anyone who poses a threat to baby Hope's existence. Meanwhile, Hayley mourns the loss of her daughter and struggles to adapt to her new hybrid status, Marcel tries to rebuild his home, Cami seeks comfort in a surprising place, and Davina tries to use Mikael against Klaus, but gets sidetracked when she meets the mysterious, yet charming Kaleb, who holds a few secrets of his own.

All in all, I'd have to give the premiere a thumbs up; even if the take-down of the Guerreras was perhaps a bit too neat for its own good- they probably could have milked that for a few more episodes, at least.

I found the first 10 minutes or so of tonight's episode difficult to follow as the writers tried to inform us as to the whereabouts of every single character we've come to know and love. It was too much and not enough all at the same time.
